Kinda cool fan made side story, some unamed pro filmakers had a hand in this unauthorized tribute.Apperently George"the rapist" Lucas tried to have all of the master prints destroyed. What a dickhead. This was made around 1999 and was hard to find on the bootleg market so dont expect some THX quality masterpiece, just some good cheese. It's got Boba Fett/Slave 1 in it,what more can you ask for!(film is split into 4 or 5 parts)
This compilation was released in 1989 and was quite hard for me to track down back then, eventually I got a vinyl pressing with a bonus Silverfish 7 inch.I was kinda expecting something along the lines of the Grindcrusher comp or the Hardcore Holocaust collections when I ordered this LP but it is more rooted in Industrial and noise/rock,that does'nt mean that it's a bad record, just not total grindcore(which was all I wanted to hear in 1989).Enjoy this long out of print oddity. 1. Carcass. Genital Grinder (2:59) 2. Godflesh. Love Is A Dog From Hell (8:12) 3. Terminal Cheesecake. John F. Poodle (4:23) 4. Stretch Heads.Three Pottery Owls (With Innuendo) (0:50) 5. Coil. Contains A Disclaimer (7:33) 6. Silverfish. One Silver Dollar (3:00) 7. Terminal Cheesecake. Head's Human Disease (2:13) 8. God. Dum Dum Slug (6:27) 9. Stretch Heads. Groin Death (1:17) 10. Carcass. Hepatic Tissue Fermentation (6:10) 11. Godflesh. My Own Light (4:11)
I swiped this link from the excellent 80's thrash metal demo preservation site http://lockjaw-yappy.blogspot.com/ This LP is the probobaly the first real "Metal" product to come out of Oklahoma, initally it most likley recived little notice due to the massive amount of homegrown thrash/speed and power metal coming out of every corner of the USA at the time.24 years after it's release it has been reissued on CD by some small retro-metal labels and championed by the guitarist of Merciless Death(he sports a Powerlord logo on his axe).During the mid 90's my old band Subsanity practiced at singer Dane Cook's(not to be confused with the comedian)house, lots of wild parties, booze and dope was going on all the time.We would always try to get Dane to sing some old stuff for us but he was kinda shy and it was hard to pry much info on the bands history, shows from him.Cool guy,I havent seen him in years. The drummer-Bob Gourley tried out for Slayer in thier earliest stages and may or may not have been in the band for two weeks,he had some badass rehearsal tapes(doing songs like"Ice Titan") to back up his story! He was also in Dark Angel for a brief amount of time,I wanted him to try some stuff with Subsanity but like all old school metal dudes from that era just did'nt dig the grindcore too much.I'm sure Powerlord played with Pantera back in their "Metal Magic" days.....enjoy this forgotten metal relic..If anybody has more info, post some comments... http://www.mediafire.com/?zv5ngwlw2te
The Mentors are coming to OKC this friday, nothing needs to be said about this legendary band, either people love 'em or hate 'em.I decided to post thier ultra-rare first record "Get up and Die" AKA "The Trash Bag EP"showcasing a young/sloppy almost punk version of the Mentors. This stuff is really rooted in hard rock compared to their later "metal" styled material.A rare glimpse into the origins of The Mentors, its a pretty silly record.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FP7OK6FB
Wow!I had no idea that legendary sludge punk band Flipper put out a new album.I first heard Flipper on the "Let Them Eat Jellybeans"comp LP and the very rare "Live at Target"video compilation. In the early 1990's Flipper played a truly amazing house party in NW OKC,those who attended were treated to the pinnacle moment ever to happen to punk rockers in Oklahoma.Members of Gwar were hanging out too, Oderous did a wild version of "ha ha ha".When Flipper finished a bucket was passed around for donations,it was quickly filled with money, weed and LSD,the Flipperr guys took out $40 and all the drugs and dumped a couple hundred bucks on the crowd!!!Punk rock!I followed Flipper on tour the next year attending shows in Tulsa,Norman,Lawton and Dallas,it was a good time from what I remember.....http://rapidshare.com/files/293165047/Flipper_-_Love__2009_.rar
I finally got to see Overkill during the summer at the mostly cock-rock oriented "Rocklahoma"festival in Noetheast Oklahoma. This year the promoters added an extra day devoted to the heavier side of 80's metal, fans were treated to sets by Leatherwolf, Aska,Hallows Eve,Metal Church(who played thier last show ever),Krank,Anvil,Saxon and a horrible set by the Dan Nelson fronted Anthrax.Overkill just blasted the audience(several thousand strong)in 110 degree Oklahoma heat,I do not know how the drummer did'nt die from heat stroke. Anyway, heres the new Overkill album due out next year,be sure to pick this up on vinyl when it comes out.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FK4KHQMH
Check out these rare as fuck films about the orgins of hip hop when it was a very underground art form, way before Run-Dmc brought the sound to the mainstream. The first film "80 Blocks to Tiffany's" deals with gang culture in the Bronx circa 1977,before any rap records were even made(I like the kid that dresses like a nazi).Film#2 "Breaking and Entering" is a super obscure oddity featuring stuff like early Ice-T and the dudes from the first "Breakin" movie,I think this might have served as a platform to get some money for "Breakin"."Beat This!" is pretty interesting, featuring interviews with Afrika Bambaataa,Malcom McLaren, and DJ Kool Herc. Also shows The Soul Sonic Force recording "Renegades of Funk" with dance music pioneer Arthur Baker......Poppin,shockin,rockin!!!!!! heres a link for the full "Beat This" doc.....http://www.documentary24.com/beat-this-history-of-hip-hop--6/
Depraved Dave turned me onto this "semi-parody" band a few years ago, musicaly it's tight and over the top metal and funny as shit songs.heres a little more info on Massacration-Their biography is somewhat similar to Spinal Tap's. Massacration started as a fake parody "true heavy metal" band on the comedy TV show "Hermes & Renato" on Brazilian MTV, with fake biography, fake long hair, fake live recordings, dumb interviews and whatnot. Since then, they've done a bunch of real concerts (including a tour with Sepultura, with Igor Cavalera as session drummer), and released an album produced by "Rick Rubinho", a.k.a. Ratos de Porão's João Gordo. They also became hosts of "Total Massacration", a Headbanger's Ball-like TV show, with jokes in between.http://www.4shared.com/file/140922319/d2934736/MassacrationGBH.html
My band was supposed to play a show with Ravage last night but the Ravage guys were having a real shitty tour=vehicle problems galore so they wisely opted not to play in OKC.I was actually getting kinda stoked to see some old style Thrash Metal with no death/grind/whatever influence but it never happened,so on my way home I rocked out to this album. Wrathchild America were total "Thrash lite"and got signed to a major a the very end of the whole Thrash Metal phenomena, you can almost see the band getting butthurt to the rumbling sound of the grunge and death/grind scenes eating their pathetic souls!I think Pantera did some touring with these guys before they hit it big,and I caught them playing a show with oklahoma's own Oliver Magnum. At least back in 1989 there were clubs that strictly catered to metal every night of the week, bands had a soundman thus having a great sound onstage and there was not much tolerence for sloppiness etc....well I gotta go just got some news that we may be playing a show with Marduk!!!NO DEPOSIT-NO RETURN motherfuckers!!!!! http://www.mediafire.com/?ezjfjynmtj2
It been a while since I posted anything,so here's a kinda hard to find nugget of doomy goodness. This is demos for what eventually became "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" by the mighty Candlemass, this is also one of my favorite tapes from back in the days before grindcore took me over. http://www.mediafire.com/?kdrdkzymzkh
An amazing compilation of Lemmy's hits, obscure tracks and collaborations, this is essential listening right here! Most of this stuff I have heard before like the Hawkwind,Damned and Wendy O Williams material, but theres tons of music that is new to me like Lemmy's 1960's era pop/rock group The Rocking Vickers and the track listing is wrong because there are some great covers of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" and Metallica's "Whiplash".If you dont just fucking love this guy,you got a serious problem.... "CD One:

Thought I might transfer some of these old ass videotapes before they degrade anymore.Subsanity was one of my early bands, initaly started out with the name TORMENT in late 1988.Originaly based in Pauls Valley,Oklahoma we changed the name in 1991 and persued a more extreme sound.Played alot of shows with just aboust every badass metal/hardcore band out there, from Econochrist to Saxon.Split up in 2003
Trendy fuckers sing praises for Sleep's 2nd LP "Holy Mountain" but if you ask me "Volume One" will always be my favorite,it's got this somber, creepy feel that just blew me away back in 1991 when I plopped down $8.99 for this LP.Those same trendy fucks who got into this band because it was hip to watch Gummo do'nt even know this record exists. Here ya go,trendy fuck..http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TOV5RY89....
Two records from long runnig cult goth punk band 45Grave!Some of this shit rocks and some is silly but I still think these records are classics...the "Autopsy" LP is a comp of unreleased/outakes/comp tracks, this stuff is pretty common on the Internet but I was in the mood for some 45 Grave..... http://rapidshare.com/files/28157315/45Auto.rar.htmlhttp://rapidshare.com/files/108088602/45_Grave_Sleep_In_Safety_RRD_ESDR.rar.html
I cant figure out how to upload stuff on Rapidshare,so heres a link for free downloads of my new Doom/Post Hardcore band A FATE FAR WORSE.It's just a few songs recorded on 8 track one afternoon, sounds pretty killer for the lack of time spent, hope you enjoy the Doooooom!http://www.purevolume.com/AFateFarWorse
Sorry to all eight of you that check out this blog on a regular basis,I've been busy with lots of very "Metal" things like booking shows and recording and hanging out with motherfuckers like Hallows Eve,Saxon,Anvil and Anthrax.Plus I've been drinking alot.So heres Post #50!!!!(this blog has only been viewed 100 times!!!) Happy Flowers were a really demented band only the early work of the Butthole Surfers can be in the league of audio insanity that Mr. Anus and Mr. Horribly Charred Infant produce!!!I always listened to this stuff while under the influence of various intoxicants..I recommend you do the same!!! the first LP http://rapidshare.com/files/105580537/hfmscmb.zip 2nd LP from 1989 http://rapidshare.com/files/56549853/Happy_Flowers.rar
I was talking with an old high school buddy while sampling some of Lebanon's finest export,I asked him what albums does he still own from the early 1990's,he replied SKREW "Burning In Water,Drowning In Flame".I completely forgot all about this cult classic slab of grating industrial/metal.SKREW evolved out of the thrash/crossover band ANGKOR WAT(I was a big fan of this band),signed to Metal Blade Records and released "Burning In Water,Drowning In Flame" in 1992.This record was a pretty major underground hit when it came out,but SKREW flubbed on touring extensively and there was some line up changes and switching of styles on later albums. Heres the entire discography of this kinda forgotten band(the albums after "Dusted"are nu-metal influenced, just a warning) SKREW http://rapidshare.com/files/52955118/Burning.rar - Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame pass= delitdaddy http://rapidshare.com/files/52977642/Dusted.rar - Dusted pass= dellitdaddy http://rapidshare.com/files/53029803/Shadow.part1.rar - Shadow of a Doubt pt1 pass= delitdaddy http://rapidshare.com/files/53033164/Shadow.part2.rar - Shadow of a Doubt pt2 pass= delitdaddy http://rapidshare.com/files/52966504/AngeI.rar - Angel Seed XXIII pass= delitdaddy

Damn! Im still dehydrated from the Solitude Aeturnus show,it was fucking hot down there in Dallas!Good show but too many bands on the bill....heres a new post for you sick fuckers..Good quality bootleg of Sleep playing the All Tommorows Parties fest that happened not too long ago.If you're a fan of the band you may want to get this fucker..it's kinda long so it has been split into two parts....Part onehttp://www.mediafire.com/?gjokyg2jumnPart twohttp://www.mediafire.com/?n9e2ncmybgl
I'm going to Dallas to see this band tonight,Doom Metal is the name of the game for these guys, the singer fronts Candlemass sometimes!here's the excellent 1990 debut LP by this long running Texas doom factory....http://www.mediafire.com/?mpsjxtyvpct and...the newest offering!!!http://www.mediafire.com/?vuxzdscvmru
Here's a blast from the past!A wild night in the OKC on March 25th,1989 @ the Blue Note Lounge with GAMMACIDE,ACRIDITY and CARNAGE(okc),the actual flyer is below.I saw a guy eat a handfull of nails at this show, thats how metal it was! This was when metal shows were thuggish and violent sausage parties,I was slammed into a wall quite hard at this show. Here's Acridity's first demo (1988),plus the 1991 LP and GAMMACIDE's classic LP,I will eventually get around to uploading Carnage's tape, but that will take a post all by itself since they were the cornerstone for (Oklahoma)underground metal in the late 80's/90's.I really became a total thrash metal freak after seeing this amazing up close & personal show, and anytime I see the Gammacide guys I let 'em know I was there.....http://rapidshare.com/files/144521198/acridity_-_countdown_to_terror_demo_by_wtyd.rarhttp://rapidshare.com/files/115188553/acridity-ffrIcry_1991_.rarhttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=VPNC3DPM
Just got the new 2 disc dvd set of this long out of print mindfuck of a movie. This was the last film by Alejandro Jodorowsky that was worth a shit,El Topo and Holy Mountain are the othe two worth checking out. It's been nearly 20 years since I've seen this flick......
These movies are all cinematic turds but that cant stop me from watching them over and over.Just watched "Hell of the Living Dead"aka"Night of the Zombies"it's quite entertaining,"Nightmare City" will really test your ability to sit through a shitty movie,it is known for being the first film to have "fast" zombies, but the make-up look as though someone just slapped some burned pizza on the zombie's faces.
Here's some kinda rare stuff(all their stuff is rare) from WITCHFINDER GENERAL. Two Eps and some live stuff recorded around 1981.This band only put out a few LPs in the early 80's,I remember finding the "Friends of Hell" LP once but it was $40 so I did'nt hear WFG until around 1994.This record(availible as an LP+7inch) is best when played while drinking good beer.......I might just do that right now.http://rapidshare.com/files/226739084/WG-BATR_by_dead316.rar
One of the greatest party videotapes ever! Judas Priest, beer,Camaros, and the legendary "Zebraman"!This has been re-released on DVD and is highly recomended that you check that out,the filmakers go back 20 years later and track some of these people down.Cult classic!
These hard to find compilations were put out by the infamous New Renaissance Records starting in 1985.Some bands featured here did not make it(Stilleto,Battle Bratt, others did (Flotsam&Jetsam,Prong)and some will be be unsung heroes of metal obscurity(Blood Feast,Post Mortem and Medieval). My vinyl copies of this series have different covers, perhaps I have repressed editions. Those of you into the "Neo-Thrash"scene need to check out some of these mostly demo level heshers ripping it up.Truly underground!http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CCPFVK951. Catheter played in Norman last night,it was really fucking brutal, those who did not make it out missed a great basement show by these legendary grinders.Im very sore from the mosh pit, lots of spikes and studs. There was some amazingly good BBQ being served up at this show too. Heres Catheter's LP "Dimension 303"http://rapidshare.com/files/102622079/Catheter_-__2005__Dimension_303.rar
I was introduced to Hallows Eve via the film "Rivers Edge" in 1987,by the time this album came out it got kinda slept on by me and Depraved Dave(the only people who actually bought this tape)due to the flood of killer death metal coming out(Sepultura,Obituary etc).Fast forward 21 years(!) to 2009 and I found out these guys are playing at the massive Rocklahoma festival on the special "All heavy bands" day along with Anthrax,Overkill,Anvil,Saxon,Leatherwolf,Metal Church and Krank! So heres a blast from thrash metal's past, dry production,Queen cover and all!!!http://rapidshare.com/files/142210405/HE-88-M.rar
(This post by Tim wolfenbarger)REPULSION (Roman Polanski 65') Well this has been my favorite film since iv'e seen it. And i guess I use the term film because this introduced me to a bit of deeper cinema and gave me a taste for the avant garde from the get go. REPULSION is a true classic film and there's no denying it.Roman Poilanski's first English languige flik and bankrolled by western investors. Polanski grew up during WW2 in Poland in the Nazi razed ghettoes. He was seperated from his parents for two years and lived from friend's charity and on the streets at a very young age in WW2 Poland. After "the big war" he reunited with his father, went to film school in Poland and early on started to produce short surreal film. Eventually, he got noticed by one of his shorts, TWO MEN IN A WARDROBE...lead to financing and movies like the fine KNIFE IN WATER (somewhat Hitchcock deranged) and CUL-DE-SAC (which i read was pretty good and still have not been able to find...many years later...shouldve bought that bootleg VHS in the mail in 96!). So, I'll tell ya' to me this is the end all be all. I know there's plenty of fine and really bizarre movies out there but this is the first to get my goat and I'll tell you why. First, it's not like I'm treading new ground here. This films been around since seven years before I was born. Next, this is not an American movie and usually doesnt get the respect it deserves although it is generally considered classic. Third sometimes we all know whats fresh comes with the best art (rockn roll for example) and I believe Polanski had something to let out. I find this SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL than Fellinni or Bunuel at this point. The old classics like TOD BROWNING or the early german shit was good for sure but this was the first one that got me by the "GOTTCHA". I'll not describe the film here. I don't need to you can find it anywhere. Public domain. This is my favorite horror film. More later. oh and there was a fine band that helped invent GRINDCORE that named their band after the movie...hmmm...wonder what thats about....
This legendary group from Chickasha, Oklahoma formed in 1975 and self-released their lone LP in 1976. A Dada/punk/psych masterpiece recorded in just under seven hours in Dec. 75, the LP and the individuals who created it have long been the subject of a great deal of mystery and conjecture due to their elusiveness, the mindblowing quality of the music as well as the provocative negative image bondage LP sleeve design. This expanded reissue includes all 11 original LP tracks in sparkling fidelity from the original master tapes along with 10 previously unissued rehearsal recordings (total time just over 76 minutes). Fully authorized by the band, this CD also features a 28 page booklet with rare photos, lyrics, and personal accounts by all three original members, including bassist Chuck Iveys tale of relocating to L.A. to participate in the nascent Dangerhouse punk scene, where he took the stage with the Randoms at the Masque benefit in Feb. 78. The Debris LP was also namechecked in Nurse With Wounds infamous listing of influential LPs included with their first album in 1979. In short, Debris cultivated its own dynamic musical vernacular, showing the influence of Captain Beefheart, the Stooges, early Roxy Music and other pre-punk mainstays of the time. Their closest contemporaries were Hearthan era Pere Ubu, Siren-era Chrome, Indiana-era MX-80 Sound and Canadian sonic miscreants Simply Saucer. The beautifully raw and untamed bonus cuts include two unreleased originals, five alternate takes to the LP tracks, covers of the Stooges Real Cool time and John Cales Gun, as well as Other Things, a song originally recorded by Debris precursor group, Victoria Vein and the Thunderpunks."

Heres two ultra rare EPs from N.O.T.A.,the seminal hardcore band from Tulsa,Oklahoma.they played a ton of shows in the early to mid 1980s with most of the great first wave of American hardcore bands like Dead Kennedys,Big Boys,D.R.I.,Husker Du,The FUs,Black Flag,Butthole Surfers,Fang,The Necros etc....I did'nt hear of them until after they broke up in the late 80s(1987),but they reformed around 1994-5 and I booked a couple of great shows for them. They influenced a whole bunch of inferior 4th tier h/c bands in Oklahoma, none coming anywhere close to NOTA's fierce thrash onslaught. When I say "thrash" I mean real thrash that was definitely not metal influenced in any way.I'll post the LP later.http://www.myspace.com/realnotahttp://www.mediafire.com/?xmevnxdwbli http://www.mediafire.com/?dnmi9o9bymm

FORTE- a power metal band from Oklahoma City has been around for well over 20 years playing scores of local gigs and some with bigger acts like Flotsam and Jetsam and Saxon. They had more support and popularity in Europe where people still love the shit out of power metal, they were even invited to play the KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL last year in Germany but could not make it.They are almost done with the new album which features the original line up and that stuff sounds reallly promising (I got to hear some unfinished drum/guitar tracks recently),they even scrapped a whole recording session last just to make sure the quality is 100% FORTE.Heres a couple LPs from 1992 and 1994 originally released by Massacre records in Germany presented here for you metal freaks!Forte's singer James Randall was also the singer for Oliver Magnum,Rev.Jones the bass player went on to play for MSG,Mountain, and Steel Heart!Underground Power Metal classics.http://www.myspace.com/fortemetalhttp://rapidshare.com/files/190930303/F-92-STF.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/224613028/F-94-D.rar
